THE LEGEND OF TURTLE ISLAND...
According Native American legend, the back of a giant turtle supports the earth. The turtle's slow and deliberate movement provides for changes of times and seasons. An impenetrable fortress, when the turtle is threatened it finds strength within. It makes progress only when it sticks out its neck. The ancients called this whole world 'Turtle Island'. |
