Turtle Island Project Inc. offers retreats, seminars, intensives, workshops, community interventions, consultations and private paths of study.
Retreats begin on Friday afternoon and conclude on Sunday afternoon unless posted differently.
Seminars and workshops may be a one to two hours, a half-day or full- day. Open to contractual agreements.
Intensives range from one to three days. Intensives focus on a specific topic and are presented in an experiential workshop format. Time frames are posted.

All-Inclusive registration fees include, double occupancy lodging, snacks, meals and all materials. Single occupancy accommodations are limited and additional costs apply.

Every day life suspends
as we separate ourselves from ordinary time and space
to begin the journey, A Women’s Healing
Journey, a most special weekend of heart and
spirit.
Throughout the weekend, we discover
and rejuvenate the essence of that dynamic feminine
power which resides in each of us. We cultivate an
expanded vision of health, so that we can reconnect
to our inner strength as Women, so that we may share
these teachings with the women, men, and children
with whom we walk.
Blending ritual, ceremony, myth and storytelling based on Native American and other transcultural teachings, along with mind/body/spirit medicine, we will explore and provide a healing view of our natural, psychological and biological cycles as Women.
Among the many experiences shared
by all will be Talking Circles, Storytelling, Story-crafts,
Sweat Lodge, Drumming, Chanting, the Pipe Ceremony,
a Vision Walk, a Woman's Honoring Ceremony, and a
Sunrise Ceremony.

Healers and Caretakers recreate and restore balance and harmony in people’s lives. They encourage others to “retreat” and take breaks. This workshop-retreat cultivates an appreciation for the contributions you provide in the healing of others. The experiential course enhances the skills of practitioners and other caretakers in a position to facilitate positive coping strategies and building resilience. Participants explore how their own beliefs and styles of coping may influence their work. Participants also recognize, develop and expand skills and strategies to enhance their capacity to work with clients

We are as a culture, routinely exposed to the traumas of violence. From sectarian wars and random acts of violence, to the themes of movies, or song lyrics, we are deluged by images that intensify fear and anxiety. We walk around unconscious to our trauma, avoiding and suppressing its pain. The result of such continual bombardment desensitizes and hardens us.
In this retreat, using our own experiences, including our traumas, we will create new endings to old stories. Using ritual and ceremonies we will explore the disorders of privilege and oppression and explore ways to move beyond our preconceptions and fears.
Throughout the weekend we will participate in Talking Circles, a Vision Walk, Sweat Lodge Ceremony, and the rituals of dance and mask-making.
